Windsurfing: Levington Wind Direction: wsw Wind Stength: 13/23 Surf / Sea State: flattish Air Temperature: 9 Sea Temperature: 8 Weather: cloudy Max Speed: 18.36 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 11.98 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Today looked the best day for at least a week and with only 13mph wsw
forecast the only option was some longboard sailing. So I met Neil Hurrell
at Levingtons at 10:30 and with a midday high we had loads of time and tide
to make it to the Orwell Bridge. It was a beat all the way and the wind
could have been another force and the sun could have been out but hay thats
windsurfing !!! Neil made it to the bridge first and while sailing under
was back winded and fell in, I smiled and then the same thing happened to
me !!! We stopped by the Strand for a drink and a snack before setting off
on a runny/reach all the way back - the wind did threaten to fill in but
sadly never quite made it still we were out for over two hours and it is my
last windsurfing for over a month as we are off to France and are up the
mountains for a while first :)
